WELCOME

Dear Participants,

We are happy to invite you to the 45th annual conference of the International School Psychology Association (ISPA) from 3 – 6 July 2024, to be held in Riga, Latvia at the newly constructed campus of the University of Latvia!

The theme of the conference is Building effective teams to support all children. The conference will provide an inspiring experience of building and strengthening relationships with school psychology practitioners and researchers from many different countries. The conference program will facilitate the sharing of common interests in the field of school psychology and the opportunity to join different interest groups, as well as to participate in various cultural and social activities.

Distinguished keynote speakers will address various aspects of children’s healthy development, including the importance of relationships at school and at home. In accordance with the conference theme, an important focus will be on how the promotion of multi-professional teams can greatly assist the practical work of the school psychologist. In light of the many human tragedies that are experienced in many parts of today’s world, the conference program will also address the effects of stress and trauma on the mental health of children and adults.

Individual and group presentations will be concerned with the challenges and solutions regarding aspects of school psychology, as well as regarding other fields related to school psychology.  Conference participants will include practitioners, researchers, faculty members, students, policy-makers and others who will be able to share their professional experience.

Our aim is to inspire every conference participant to engage in the strengthening of school psychology as an applied science throughout the world.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the ISPA conference 2024 in Riga, Latvia!
